My work exists in the space between atmosphere and emotion. Through layers of oil paint, I build abstract landscapes that hover between memory and sensation—neither entirely seen nor entirely imagined. I am less interested in depicting a place than in evoking the essence of being within it. Color, texture, and light converge to create portals into dimensional spaces that invite the viewer to step inside and feel their own associations.
For over twenty years, my practice has been rooted in what I call atmospheric abstraction. Each painting is a meditation on space, resonance, and presence—expressions of both the external world and the inner terrain of experience. In this way, my work becomes less about observation and more about embodiment: painting as a way to translate the ineffable qualities of light, breath, and memory.
I see my paintings as invitations to pause—to linger in a moment of expansiveness and possibility. They are not fixed narratives but evolving environments, shifting as light moves across their surfaces and as the viewer brings their own story to them.
